8th-9th Century Norse/Viking Bag/Dark Green/Tooled Front

This bag is typical of the style found during the 8th-10th centuries in Norse Culture. It is a simple design with a single gusseted pocket covered by a single top flap. This example is made from a thick veg tanned leather and is dyed a deep green. The front flap has been tooled with two knot worked serpents giving it a distinctive look and character. The bag is held onto a belt by a single strap attached to the back of the bag that comes over the top and also serves to secure the front flap closed. The strap is dyed black to give the bag and eye catching appeal. The bag will fit up to a 2 inch belt. This bag also has a matching belt which is half inch wide and is also dyed a matching green (typically reserved for Apprentices in the SCA), the belt is fixed with a period knot work buckle and and strap end. The belt can be found on the belts page for an additional $90.00.
