14th-15th Century Girdle Purse Red/Natural Leather

This girdle purse is like many found in painting and illuminations of the 14th and 15th centuries. Made of natural veg tanned leather, the inner purse has a deep gusseted pocket while the outside front sports two smaller coin pockets made of red calfskin. The outside pockets are tied with leather lacing ending in metal and wooden beads and the purse is secured with a period buckle. The outside flap is tooled to give the purse and sense of style and character.
